Erdogan added that he could not predict how much more the death toll would rise as search and rescue operations continued. So far, 45 countries have offered aid to Turkey, he noted.

“According to the findings so far, 912 of our citizens have lost their lives and 5.385 of our citizens have been injured. 2.470 of our citizens survived under the rubble and were located.

We do not know how much the number of dead and injured will rise, as work continues to remove debris from many buildings in the earthquake zone. In such times, safe management of transportation and communication is important," Erdogan said.

Besides, as reported by the Syrian state news agency, at least 320 people have been killed in Syria due to the earthquake and the injured are 1.000.
