The bad weather has caused endless disasters in the country
Faced with extreme weather in Italy, I found the owners and staff of a restaurant in the city of Arezzo in Genoa.
Security cameras filmed employees cleaning the store at the end of their shift, while strong winds and heavy rain were raging outside. Officials suddenly noticed a wave approaching the restaurant and tried to secure the doors and windows with their hands. However, the force of the wave was great, as a result of which it dragged materials and workers, slightly injuring the owner of the restaurant.
The Italian meteorological service reported that the winds reached 150 kilometers per hour, while the waves in this coastal area in some cases exceeded six meters. The severe bad weather that has hit Italy in recent days has claimed the lives of at least 20 people and has caused enormous damage to arable land, settlements and the country's road network.
