A sense of normalcy amid heavy Israeli bombardment of Gaza has been attempted by a mother by throwing a family party for her young daughter's birthday.
As can be seen in the video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the whole family sings to the celebrant while the sounds of planes and bombs are heard in the background.
Worriedly, the members of the large family who have hidden in a corner turn their gaze towards the sounds of destruction while the smiling mother continues to sing and clap her hands, as if nothing is happening.
