A serious car accident occurred on the Larnaca-Dhekelia road around 21:00 on Friday night.
Two vehicles collided head-on, with one of the two trying to avoid the collision, entering the opposite stream and colliding with a cypress tree and catching fire.
The driver, aged around 50, was rushed to the General Hospital of Nicosia, due to the criticality of his condition, where he is being treated by intubation.
The second driver is in good health.
When the saloon vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire, the driver of the second vehicle got out of his vehicle and helped the driver out of the flames.
Police and Fire Brigade forces rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire and released the driver.
