In the last 76 hours all over Cyprus, the Police proceeded with 7 complaints of citizens and 24 owners of premises, after 6.163 inspections, in order to verify the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection Cleaning.

A spokesman for the Police Press Office told KYPE that the seven complaints of the premises concerned the non-possession of a safe pass, whether by customers, employees or even owners.

In Nicosia, 2.036 inspections were carried out and 76 complaints were made by citizens and 4 premises.

In Limassol, 547 inspections were carried out and 17 complaints were made by citizens and 3 premises. In Larnaca, 801 inspections were carried out and 11 complaints were made by citizens. In Paphos, 1405 inspections were carried out and 8 complaints were made by citizens. In Famagusta, 906 inspections were carried out and 9 complaints were made by citizens. In Morfou, 162 inspections were carried out with 2 complaints from citizens. The Traffic Police carried out 205 inspections and the Coast Guard 98 from which no complaints emerged.

Regarding the complaints of premises, in Nicosia one premises was reported for non-possession of safe pass customers and the fine amounted to 8 thousand euros. The other three premises concerned non-possession of a safe pass by the owner and the fine amounting to 500 euros.

In Limassol, the 2 premises were located without safe pass employees and the fine amounted to 500 and 750 euros and another premises with a customer without safe pass, with a fine of 500 euros.

It is worth noting that the fine on premises is determined based on its square footage. For example, in premises up to 50 square meters the fine is 500 euros and in premises from 51 to 100 square meters the fine is 750 euros.
