A case of assault and causing serious bodily harm, with a 35-year-old victim, is being investigated by the Police, in Nicosia, whose members proceeded to arrest a 32-year-old to facilitate the investigations.
According to the data under examination, around 1.10 p.m. Last Saturday, January 29, a 32-year-old and a 35-year-old man allegedly got involved, for reasons that are being investigated, on a street in the center of Nicosia. The 35-year-old then left the scene, with the result that a little later, while he was on an adjacent street, he was attacked by a group of unknown persons. Strangers allegedly beat him in various parts of his body and injured him.
The injured man visited a private hospital in Nicosia, where he was kept for treatment. He was found to have bruises on his face, loss of two teeth and fractures of his nose and ribs.
As part of the police investigation, an arrest warrant was issued against the 32-year-old, who was arrested to facilitate the investigations. Yesterday morning, he was brought before the District Court of Nicosia, which issued a five-day detention order against him.
Arrest warrants have also been issued in connection with the case against two other persons, aged 32 and 25, who are wanted.
