In the last 14 hours, the Police proceeded with 9 complaints of citizens and 24 premises for violation of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus.

As a representative of the Police Communication Branch stated to KYPE, during the last 24 hours, which ended at 06:00 on Thursday morning, a total of 1.854 checks were carried out throughout free Cyprus.

At Nicosia 437 inspections were carried out and 4 citizens and 5 premises were reported in Limassol 145 inspections were carried out with complaints from 2 citizens and 3 premises, in Larnaca 3 citizens were reported after 397 checks, in Paphos 1 estate was reported after 181 inspections, in Famagusta 5 citizens were reported after 434 checks, while in the area Morphou 157 inspections were carried out without any complaints.

Finally the Traffic Departments carried out 103 inspections without any complaints.

With regard to property complaints, at Nicosia Police imposed a fine of € 1.000 on a premises where an employee without a safe pass was located, € 500 was imposed out of court on two premises managers who did not have a safe pass, an out-of-court settlement of € 4.000 was imposed on a bakery because no safe pass was checked. A fine of € 750 was imposed on a tavern where the manager worked without a mask.

At Limassol An out-of-court settlement of € 8.000 was imposed in a supermarket because no safe pass check was carried out, € 750 in a premises where an employee without a safe pass was located, while an out-of-court settlement of € 500 was issued in a pub where a patron without a valid safe pass was located.

Finally to Paphos An extrajudicial € 500 was imposed on a barber shop, where a person without a mask and a safe pass was located.
