Complaints of violation of COVID measures amounted to 35

In the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Friday until 06.00 today), 2.140 inspections were carried out by the Police throughout Cyprus, in order to verify the observance of the measures and the implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection Cleaning and as stated in KYPE , there were 19 complaints from citizens and 16 complaints related to real estate.

With regard to controls by province, in Nicosia 574 inspections were carried out, which resulted in 12 complaints from citizens and 11 Limassol 189 inspections were carried out, which resulted in 4 complaints from citizens and 3 Larnaca 492 inspections were carried out without any complaint, in Paphos 155 inspections were carried out, from which a citizen and 2 premises Famagusta 432 inspections were carried out, without any complaint, in the area of ​​Morfos 171 inspections were carried out, from which 2 complaints of citizens emerged.

Also, the Cypriot Traffic Police carried out 124 inspections, without any complaint. Of the 2.140 checks, 3 concerned the Port and Maritime Police, without any complaint.

Answering a question, the representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters said that the majority of the complaints to citizens concerned the non-use of a protective mask. Asked about the complaints in the premises, he said that most of them concerned managers or employees or patrons who did not have safe passpass and a premises that had a large number of customers.
