Serious traffic accident on the Palaichori - Nicosia road - Road closed

A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday morning on the Palaichori - Nicosia road when a vehicle collided with a tanker.

According to the Police, the Palaichori - Nicosia road, in the section from Anagyia to Deutera, is closed at around 6.30 this morning, Monday, [08/04], due to a road collision. Drivers are asked to use the old Nicosia-Palaichori road, via Deutera and Anagyia.

In particular, drivers heading towards Nicosia are asked to head towards the old road, through the overpass to Industrial Area Ergaton and Anagyia – Deutera, while drivers heading towards Palaichori are asked to head towards the old road, through the pass on the left of the roundabout despite the private football fields and the private school, on the Nicosia-Palaichori road.

Members of the Police are at the scene of the collision to carry out examinations, provide assistance and regulate traffic.

The Police recommend paying particular attention to passing drivers, who are asked to drive their vehicles at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front and follow the instructions of members of the Police who are in the area to provide assistance and regulate traffic .
