The Police arrested 33 people on Tuesday, to facilitate the investigations regarding the incidents that broke out on Monday afternoon between residents of the Pournara First Reception Center in Kokkinotrimithia.
The incidents broke out at around 6.15 in the afternoon, when two groups of foreigners exchanged stone pelts resulting in injuries to eight persons. The injured were taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where they were given first aid and discharged.
The incidents ended shortly after, after the intervention of a strong police force.
The Kokkinotrimithia Police Station continues the examinations.
