A 47-year-old man from the province of Nicosia was arrested yesterday on a warrant and detained in order to facilitate the investigation into an investigated case of harassment and disobedience to legal orders.
A police statement states that his arrest was preceded by a complaint from a 48-year-old woman from the province of Nicosia that, between the dates 7/10/2021 and 7/11/2021, the person in question was watching and harassing her in violation of the Peri of Protection from Harassment and Harassment Law.
It is noted that, on 23/12/2020, a restraining order had been issued against the 47-year-old, which had been served on him, due to previous similar incidents.
