The 38-year-old was arrested yesterday by the Police, in order to facilitate the investigations regarding an investigated case of car arson.
The arson was reported to the Police, on the morning of January 31, 2022, by a 34-year-old resident of Limassol. According to the complaint, during the previous night, a fire broke out in the car of the 34-year-old, which was parked in the yard of his house.
The fire seems to have gone out on its own, after causing damage inside the vehicle and was noticed by the owner of the vehicle on the morning of January 31st.
Members of the Police visited the scene, where examinations were carried out. The fire was found to have been started maliciously.
From further examinations of the Police, a testimony was secured against a 38-year-old resident of a village in the province of Limassol. An arrest warrant was issued against him, under which he was arrested and detained to facilitate investigations.
The Limassol TAE is investigating the case.
