The right lane of the Nicosia-Limassol highway is closed, in the direction of Limassol, at a point just before the air bridge area to Moni, due to a traffic collision that occurred between two vehicles, around 1.00 on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the crash, but both vehicles were parked in the right lane. Members of the Police are at the scene of the collision for examinations.
At various points on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, there is a flow and accumulation of water due to the heavy rains that occur at this time, resulting in a slippery road. Particularly heavy rainfall is observed in the area of Moni, where the road on the highway is dangerously slippery.
On the Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia highway there is also flow and accumulation of water in various places due to heavy rainfall.
Passers-by are encouraged to drive at a safe, low speed, to keep a safe distance from oncoming vehicles and to have their headlights on.
