Mercedes has released images and details of its new small SUV, in view of its debut in Frankfurt, where the GLA will "steal" the impressions with its appearance and advanced technology.
The German firm has finally officially unveiled its new model, which will premiere in a few weeks at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
So the GLA is a "muscular" elevated and sturdy A-Class, which presses on larger wheels and acquires the image of an aggressive and imposing crossover with the roof rails, the double exhaust at the rear and the spoiler integrated in the trunk door.
The dimensions of the new SUV are 4.417 mm. length, 1.804 mm width and 1.494 mm. height, while the aerodynamic drag coefficient is 0,29.
It also has a spacious luggage compartment of 421 liters, which doubles to 836 liters. with the rear seats folded. In fact, in an optional equipment package, the luggage compartment is configured to gain an additional 60 liters, without folding the rear seats, but with an option of standing position.
Inside now, the cabin is fully equipped with technology and unique luxury with wood finishes and a touch screen on the center console.
Under the hood, the GLA will be equipped with two petrol engines, starting at 1,6 l. 156 hp in the GLA 200, we continue with the 2 liter engine in the GLA 250, which produces 211 hp and consumes an average of 7,1 l / 100 km. At the level of diesel engines now, two engines will also be available, the 2,2, 200 lt. in the GLA 136 CDI, which will deliver 300 hp and 4,3 Nm of torque, while its consumption will be just 100 l / 220 km and the most powerful diesel, of the same capacity in the GLA 170 CDI, but with an output of 350 hp and XNUMX Nm of torque.
Note that the GLA 250 will be equipped with the 4MATIC system, reaching 0-100 km / h in 6,5 dl. with a top speed of 233 km / h. Selective all-wheel drive will also be available on the GLA 220 CDI, while both models will have the descent system (DSR) and the special function for off-road routes.
Finally, the orders of the new model will start in November, but the prices have not been announced yet, while the first deliveries will be made at the beginning of next year.
