The President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos hosted an official dinner at the end of the first day of Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Athens. Dinner was held at the Presidential Palace in honor of him and his wife.
Invited were people from the political and business world, diplomats as well as representatives from the four Institutions of the country, the Latsis Foundation, the "Hope" Foundation (of Vardis Vardinogiannis), the Onassis Foundation and the Niarchos Foundation.
Among the ministers of the Greek government present were Nikos Kotzias, Panos Skourletis, Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, Nikos Pappas and others. Of course, the Prime Minister's wife was also present, who impressed by choosing an elegant red dress.
The dinner given to the Turkish President was of a high standard and included:
- Shrimp with citrus
- Greens with celery root
- Grouper fillet garnished with steamed vegetables
- Seasonal fruits
At the table where Tayyip Erdogan was sitting, the staff was instructed not to serve alcohol, as Muslim culture and tradition forbid it.
During the dinner break, the children's orchestra of the "Kontali" conservatory sang songs by Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Hatzidakis.
