According to "Kypris Postasi", as broadcast by the Press and Information Office, the works are being carried out at an intensive pace and that the tender for the project has been announced in Ankara and not in occupied Nicosia.
The project is expected to be completed by the Erdogan-Bahceli visit. It is said that the studies related to the construction of the garden were carried out on October 28 during the visit of the Turkish Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Murat Kurum, who had stated that the area would be reconstructed by the TOKI Foundation and the Municipality of Konya.
It is noted that the bid has been won by the Turkish company Taşyapı (Tasjapi) of businessman Emrullah Turanli, who manages the illegal Tympu airport, owes significant sums to the "state" and has not completed the construction of the "new airport" since 2016. The president of the Turkish Cypriot contractors' union, Jafer Güjafer, told the newspaper that no one knows anything about the construction of the "national park" in Varosi and that they are closely monitoring the issue.
