The Famagusta Youth Department of the Cyprus Red Cross organized the 3rd Charity Football Tournament for children.
The tournament took place yesterday, May 12, 2019, at the Municipal Stadium of Liopetri with the participation of 183 children from the Football Academies of Anorthosis, Olympiakos, Renaissance Deryneia and AOAN Ayia Napa, as well as from the Municipal Education Schools of communities of the province of Famagusta.
The children were divided into groups and competed for the purpose of entertainment in the context of noble sports rivalry. At the end of the competition all the children without exception were awarded a medal for their contribution to the "charity track" of the Red Cross.
At the same time, kiosks selling food and beverages operated in the area of the stadium in order to strengthen the charity fund of the provincial committee for the support of needy families in our province.
Once again, the winner was solidarity, which lovingly surrounds the pain of our fellow human beings.
