The first Pan-Provincial Assembly convened on Tuesday, May 28, at the Synod of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia-Famagusta, convened by the Famagusta Tourist, Commercial and Industrial Society.
In his greeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEVEA, Petros Petrou, stated that the first district assembly lays the foundations for a broader effort made by the Famagusta Tourist, Commercial and Industrial Company to coordinate all the bodies of the free and occupied province. local authorities, MPs, representatives of semi-governmental organizations and organized groups, with the aim of targeted promotion of the important demands of the province in the decision-making centers.
It was also mentioned that the goal is for the Provincial Assembly to become an institution, and to be organized twice a year, while a number of subcommittees will be set up which will have specific responsibilities in order to examine and promote issues in the plenary session of the Provincial Assembly. The next Provincial Assembly is scheduled to be held next November.
