Two people were seriously injured in a car accident in Paralimni.

According to the Police, around 23:10 last night, a 38-year-old man from Sotira was driving his car in the area of ​​Perneras in Paralimni, stopped at ALT at the end of the road and after checking whether there were cars from both directions, entered a road. and turned right according to its course, towards Paralimni.

Shortly after the driver entered the road, a motorcycle driven by a 34-year-old from Paralimni with a 26-year-old co-driver from Sotira, heading from Cape Greco to Paralimni, for an unknown reason, collided in the back of the vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle and his passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and were seriously injured in the collision.

Ambulances were transported to the TAEP of the Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni, where the doctors on duty found that the 34-year-old had a fracture of the right forearm and a fracture of the shoulder and was admitted to the surgical department.

The 26-year-old was found to have a pelvic fracture and will undergo surgery. The 38-year-old driver of the car did not suffer anything from the collision.

Men from the Traffic Police and the Famagusta Police Department went to the scene, where investigations revealed that both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were not wearing protective helmets.

All those involved in the accident were tested for alcohol with zero indication.

The case is being investigated by the Paralimni Police Station.
