The new facts that have come to light about the incident of domestic violence in Megara and the brutal abuse of the 4-year-old boy by his stepfather, according to the words of his mother, are shocking and infuriating.
The child is intubated at Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital, with serious head injuries, bruises and fractures in other parts of his body. The alleged perpetrator who brutally abused him is wanted by the authorities and as reported has a past of extreme violent behavior against the 4-year-old boy.
"I will not rest until I kill a child for you"
According to ERT, the child's mother told the police that when she returned to their house yesterday afternoon and saw her partner beating the 4-year-old, he told her that "I won't rest if I don't kill your child".
The mother also reportedly told the police, that in the last month her partner had started to show very violent behavior towards all her children as well as herself.
The rest of the 4-year-old's siblings have been transferred to the same hospital with a prosecutor's order, for their protective custody, while the investigations to identify the perpetrator last.
The child had been hospitalized twice more
The 4-year-old, as revealed, was living a constant nightmare, having even been hospitalized twice more with injuries and fractures.
The stepfather was very violent towards the mother and all her children
According to EL.AS sources, around the middle of 2023 the unfortunate child was taken to the hospital for the first time. At the time, he had bruises and other injuries, while the child's mother had fractures. However, for an unknown reason, the police were not called to the scene.
About two months ago, the same child was taken to the Children's Hospital again, as he suffered burns. The social service of the hospital informed the public prosecutor about the incident. The prosecution contacted the police and asked for the address details of the child and the mother. However, according to ELAS sources, no preliminary investigation was requested.
Also, in neither of the two cases was there a reason for the burns, nor for the blows the child suffered, because the mother was afraid to speak, something that did not happen yesterday. She named her partner as the perpetrator, who is still being sought.
The chronicle of the beating
The 4-year-old boy from Megara was transported around 17:30 yesterday by an ambulance of the municipality of Megara to the Health Center of Megara, accompanied by a DIAS team. and from there to the Thriasio Hospital.
There the doctors found that he was in a comatose state, he was intubated and transferred to the "Aglaia Kyriakou" Children's Hospital.
The 29-year-old mother reported to the authorities that her 4-year-old son was brutally beaten by her partner yesterday afternoon around 15.00:XNUMX p.m., the reasons that led him to this extremely violent outburst have not been made known.
The 29-year-old is the mother of four minor children - aged 10, 9, 8 and 4 - whom she had from another partner. They all live together in the Vlychos area in Megara.
