The investigation of the authorities is ongoing for the complete mapping of the actions of the members of the pimp ring as well as for the identification of new people involved.
Through statements and evidence, the researchers of EL.AS. they are examining whether there are other people who are evading arrest involved in the ring in question, while the investigation into the "customers" of the ring who had sex with at least seven minors is also under investigation.
What the police want to find out is whether any of them, in addition to being "clients" of "Maria", the alleged mastermind of the group, were also "clients" of the infamous Lorella ring who was arrested early last January.
The talks "burned" them
At the same time, the conversations between the 25-year-old alleged mastermind and the girls are revealing. In one of those brought to light by protothema.gr, "Maria" talks to one of the underage girls who were caught in the network's nets and asks for 100 euros, with the latter replying that this is unfair. The conversation continues with the 25-year-old saying that she has no money and no parents to help her.
In another conversation, one of the girls writes that everything is the 25-year-old's fault and that this story will not turn out well.
Victim's sister reveals horror - 'The situation hasn't changed'
It is recalled that the horror experienced by the girls began to be revealed when the sister of one of the girls involved decided to speak to the authorities and report on romantic dates that took place in hotels in Athens and Glyfada.
A police investigation followed, from which it emerged that a "prominent" role in the case was played by a 25-year-old named Maria who, together with three other people (two men and one woman), forced minors into prostitution by receiving monetary compensation.
The girl's sister, who addressed the authorities, spoke yesterday on the Live News show stating that after her complaint "the situation has not changed".
"He continues to date even today. Recently, I noticed, looking for her mobile phone, when she was not looking at me, that in addition to her 25-year-old girlfriend, she is arranging a date with another adult girl," said the girl.
Maria's role and cocaine payments
As for the exact role of the 25-year-old "Maria", she allegedly developed contact with the minors from the summer of 2023 and facilitated them in finding "clients", naturally receiving part of the money they earned.
In particular, for her "services" Maria reportedly usually received 50 to 100 euros depending on the money the minors received (200 - 400 euros), while many times she also acted as an escort, taking the girls to the appointments herself.
Well-informed sources told protothema.gr that the 25-year-old woman, in order not to fall on the "radar" of the Police, often changed addresses (finally she was located in Petroupoli) while, according to the same sources, she allegedly had sex in the past appointment.
It is also noteworthy that some of the "clients", who met with the minors, in consultation with the 25-year-old, provided the girls with narcotics, specifically cocaine, instead of money. The number of customers is still undetermined, with the investigation of the Authorities to locate them being, as mentioned above, in full progress.
As for the rest of the arrested, four of them are accused of transporting the minors to and from the hotels where the sexual encounters took place using their cars.
One of them is actually a taxi driver, while a 25-year-old named Zachos allegedly had a relationship with the 25-year-old.
Finally, the police officers also arrested a 21-year-old woman who is accused of having, at an unspecified time, but during the same period of action as the other arrested, promoted one of the minors to prostitution by taking part of the money she earned.
