The incident occurred around 7:30 on Friday morning, at a hotel of Agios Georgios Argyradon, in the southern part of the island. According to the first information, the 30-year-old mother, while feeding the baby, left the bottle in his mouth for a while, as a result of which he drowned.
As soon as the mother saw that the baby was unconscious, she went down to the hotel reception in fear and the police were called immediately. A doctor at the hotel tried to help the baby, but it was already dead. It is not yet known if the baby had any health problems, while a forensic examination is underway to determine the exact causes of the baby's death.
