Sixteen-year-old stole watches from his friend's father - How he "fought"

A 16-year-old man who lives permanently in Cyprus has been arrested for burglary and theft.

According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Ioannou, it was reported on 16.1.22 by a 40-year-old that his house was broken into on 10.12.21 from 07:00 in the morning until 16:00 in the afternoon and during the time he was away from it.

According to the complaint, the alleged perpetrator allegedly stole men's watches and some tools worth a total of 1.790 euros from the burglary.

The complainant stated that while inspecting photos in Mass Media he saw a 16-year-old wearing his watch and also the sunglasses that were stolen from his house. The 16-year-old is a friend of the complainant's son and according to the complaint, he often visited the 40-year-old's residence.

Following this, the Paphos Police proceeded to issue an arrest warrant against the 16-year-old, who was arrested.

The young man was then interrogated and allegedly admitted possession of the items while making allegations of possession of the watch.

The 16-year-old was then charged in writing to be summoned to court later.
