An extraordinary session of the Holy Synod will be convened by the Archbishop of Cyprus next week, with the exclusive theme of the new measures announced by the government for the ecclesiastics.
According to information from KYPE from circles of the Archdiocese, the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II is expected to convene next week and probably on Tuesday, December 15, an extraordinary session of the Holy Synod with exclusive topics the new measures announced by the government for the churches.
After the end of the Holy Synod, an announcement will be issued.
It is noted that based on the new measures announced by the government and which come into force tomorrow 06:00 until December 31 at 05:00, church services and other forms of religious worship in religious places are held without the presence of believers.
