Members of the Police, during a patrol, located today in the early hours of the morning in an area of Limassol, two persons moving suspiciously and entering a car.
The driver of the vehicle was signaled to stop for control, as a result of which he developed speed and tried to escape.
Eventually the vehicle was stopped at a short distance and the two occupants got out of the vehicle, where the co-driver of the vehicle was arrested.
Examinations revealed that he was a 35-year-old man, in possession of a quantity of cannabis weighing about 3.5 grams and one gram of methamphetamine, as a result of which he was arrested for a self-inflicted crime.
Further investigations that followed revealed that against the 35-year-old, 4 arrest warrants were pending from various Police Stations for theft cases, committed in the provinces of Limassol and Larnaca.
The exams continue.
