A serious car accident occurred shortly before twelve at noon, on the Limassol highway, near the Monastery.
According to the first information, the driver of a tanker, under conditions under investigation, dragged a pedestrian, who was parked in the safety lane, as his vehicle was mechanically damaged.
Members of the Police have been called to the scene for examinations, while due to the traffic there is a traffic jam.
The highway is closed
After the accident, the Limassol highway was closed from both lanes to Limassol, despite the area of Agios Georgios Alamanos. The traffic is channeled on the old road Nicosia - Limassol, from the exit of Agios Georgios Alamanos.
Drivers are urged to be extremely careful, to drive at low speeds and to maintain safe distances from oncoming vehicles.
