The meeting of the members of the Advisory Scientific Committee with the Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandelas, is in progress from 14:30.
The purpose of the meeting is to evaluate the epidemiological picture, while the table is expected to put suggestions of experts for new, more stringent measures, which will be used -if and if- the situation worsens.
As KYPE reported yesterday, according to secure information, further tightening of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus is ruled out for the time being.
The operation of the schools will be the focus of the meeting.
As the Minister stated in his post, however, "our concern is to keep the schools open and this will be the main topic of discussion in today's meeting with the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee".
The Minister will make statements to journalists around 16:00 in the afternoon.
