The Board of Directors of the Nursing Branch of PASYDY considers the coverage of the needs of understaffing as the most urgent issue to be resolved, noting that for this reason alone and in a last effort, to address the issue, it accepted the commitment of OKYPY, to hire young nurses.

In their announcement, after today's meeting with OKYPY, during which the issue of understaffing was discussed, the Nurses state that in case no answers are given within the set schedules, the Board will meet extraordinarily and will take decisions for reaction measures. .

As they note during the meeting on behalf of the Nurses' Trade Unions, the issue of the delay of the staffing procedures based on the July 2020 agreement was strongly raised.

The OKYPY, they report, through its General Manager committed until the beginning of next week to give a final plan for the recruitment of 260 nurses, based on the July 2020 agreement and immediate information regarding the savings of 48 nurses from existing services, as well as and meeting additional new needs that have arisen since July 2020.
