"I appeal to women who have experienced such an incident to come out and talk so that we can stop such situations," said 24-year-old Georgia, who reported her rape in Thessaloniki shortly before leaving, accompanied by her lawyer, to the courthouse.

Georgia is testifying today for the 4th time while her 17-year-old friend, her employer and a friend of his have also been invited.

Earlier, as she entered the police station, the girl said, "The love I have received is unbelievable, it has moved me so much, I hope I am right. "Thank you," the girl told reporters who were waiting for her.

The 24-year-old is again in front of the 5th investigator, in the presence of a psychologist, and will be called to give clarifications about what she had mentioned in her previous three statements (two to the police and one to the investigator), in order to "enlighten" aspects of the case. The first testimony to the interrogator was made exactly one week ago, when the 24-year-old reported two more people, except the 27-year-old - who has already become a defendant and was released on restrictive terms - recognizing one of them.

Rape of a 24-year-old: Three other people testify

In addition to the 24-year-old, three more people from her environment are scheduled to pass through the interrogator's door. Specifically, it is about her 17-year-old girlfriend, with whom they went to the New Year's Eve party, but she left with another woman, her employer and a friend. The last two were the first to meet her on New Year's morning.

The 17-year-old's testimony is considered crucial as during her first "visit" to the White Tower security department, she testified that Georgia told her that she "decided to return to the party". On the other hand, the 24-year-old's employer was the man she called when she woke up in the suite and told her that she felt that "something bad had happened".

Rape of a 24-year-old: What she had complained to the authorities

It is recalled that according to what the 24-year-old had initially complained, that night she was invited to a party by a friend who knew him as a metro in a cafe in Thessaloniki that he frequented and who apparently organizes or participates in the organization of such a private party.

The girl had gone there after her initial outing to a cafeteria with a 17-year-old friend, went up to the suite where the party was taking place and at some point felt unwell and decided to leave. As in the meantime she was not feeling well and could not find her car, her same "friend" called her back on the phone and told her to come back and that he would help her.

In turn, the girl returned alone and unable to do anything else, booked a room in the hotel in order to spend the night there due to her condition.

In the elevator she met three young people who participated in the party, they took her to another room and not to hers as she persistently asked them to help her and there she lost consciousness. She woke up in the morning in this room, discovering that she had been raped while remembering the scene where one of those involved was on top of her.

When the girl composed the images she saw in the room when she woke up, the findings, etc., and realized what had happened to her and proceeded to a relevant complaint to the White Tower Security Department.

Pending the "critical" exams

At the same time the toxicological tests of the young woman have been sent to Switzerland. The reason that the exams were sent from our country to a specialized laboratory in Switzerland is due to the equipment owned by this laboratory, which is clearly more modern than the obsolete one of the Laboratory of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of the Medical Department of AUTh.

In fact, it is noted that there are new drugs, which can be detected by the equipment of other European laboratories, but not the AUTh, and for this reason the officials chose to send them to Switzerland, to consider all possibilities.
