Due to frost, the roads Platres - Troodos, Karvouna - Troodos and Prodromou - Troodos are open ONLY for vehicles with all four wheels or equipped with anti-skid chains, according to a police statement.
In many areas of the road network in mountainous areas, the road is slippery and drivers are advised to be especially careful.
The rest of the road network does not have any serious problems. However, in some areas, carrying out work is likely to affect the smooth flow of traffic.

On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, improvement works will be carried out at the Kornos junction. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the highway, for entry on the highway from Korno / Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno / Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance side, from Korno / Pyrga to Limassol.
On the Ayia Napa-Larnaca highway, in the period 24/01/2022 - 4/2/2022, between the hours of 07:00 - 15:00 every day, except Saturday and Sunday, cleaning works will be carried out on the sections of the highway by the Rizoelia roundabout up to the exit of Xylofagos in both directions. During the works, the support and the left lane of the road will be partially closed for a distance of approximately 400 m and the traffic will be channeled in the right lane of the highway.
In Limassol, on Violetas Street, in the Ekali area of the Municipality of Limassol, works are being carried out for the construction of a rainwater network. The works on this road will last until 16/2/2022. During the works there will be the appropriate marking and all safety measures will be observed. The public is asked to be careful and follow the traffic signals.
In Larnaca, during the period 31/1/2022 - 18/2/2022, between the hours of 07:00 - 15:00, every day except Saturday and Sunday, works will be carried out on the central island of Australia Avenue, in both directions. During the works, the right lane of the road will be partially closed, approximately 200 m. And the traffic will be channeled to the left lane of the road.
In Nicosia, at Themistokli Dervi Street, on Thursday 3/2/2022 and Saturday 5/2/2022, between the hours of 06:00 - 15:00, works will be carried out for the construction of an apartment building, during which the two Traffic lanes on Themistoklis Dervi Street in the direction of the traffic lights Gavriilidis to Nicosia, between Nikokreontos and Tefkrou lanes, will be closed and traffic will be channeled in one lane in the opposite direction.
Also in Nicosia, the works for the reinforcement of the existing rectangular rainwater drain on Digeni Akrita Avenue are extended until Sunday, February 20, 2022. Digeni Akrita Avenue will remain closed from its junction with Androkleous Street and its intersection with N . Drivers are kindly requested to continue using the bypass through Androkleous - Pindarou and Eugenia Theodotou streets in the direction of Pallouriotissa. For direction to the Lycabettus Police, drivers are requested to continue using Nikodimou Mylonas and Kallipoleos streets.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in the context of the construction works of Phase 1 of the road network of the Vasilikos Energy Center, in the period 24/10/2021 - 23/4/2022, the eastern road that connects the road with the port of Vasilikos will be closed to traffic. During the works, the traffic from and to Vasiliko will be channeled to the respective west road, through Marie, except for vehicles and pedestrians that will move from and to temporary properties for which the appropriate arrangements will be made.
Works on the old road Nicosia-Limassol, will be carried out in the period 3/1/2022 - 31/3/2022, daily except Sundays and holidays, between the hours of 07:00 - 16:00, for the construction of water pipes by the Department Water Development. During the works, part of a traffic lane, the old road Nicosia - Limassol, from the 'Pig Reservoir' to the WFD pumping station in Kofinou, in the direction of Kofinou, will be partially closed in a length of about 100 meters (total length 2500 meters, approximately) and the traffic will take place in the adjacent traffic lane with the use of temporary traffic lights.
It is pointed out that the situation on the road network is changing due to the prevailing winter conditions.
