The first flamingos arrived in Aliki, Larnaca, in search of a warmer climate and food. They are the first group of beautiful pink visitors who found refuge in Aliki.
Every year flocks of thousands of migratory birds arrive in Cyprus and the Larnaca Salt Lake to spend the winter, being an attraction for locals and foreign visitors but also for those who study them.
In the coming weeks, the number of flamingos that will visit Cyprus is expected to increase, as long as it rains satisfactorily so that they can feed as best as possible.
Citizens can rejoice and watch the flamingos from a distance, not try to approach them, not enter the salt flat and do not fly drones in the area.
The public can enjoy them from the observatory of Aliki Larnaca.
